Let me introduce myself...
I am a true Pacific Northwesterner. I grew up in Washington State but have lived in Portland, Oregon for the majority of my adult life. I have had the privilege of growing up in this region and soaking up all of its natural beauty and inclusive ideologies. This environment along with my passion for listening, caring, and nurturing others is what led me to make the leap into the therapy world. When I am not wearing my therapist hat, I am proud to call myself a wife and mother. We often find ourselves on local excursions, trying to soak up the little things in life that solidify some of the greatest memories. |
Education
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Western Washington University in 2011. I graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University in 2014. I have since become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of Oregon. I am trained in Trauma-Focused CBT in order to help kids and youth create a new narrative to their life as well as I have my SOTB Clinical License in order to provide effective therapy for adults and youth that are working to overcome challenging sexual behaviors. |
Experience
I have six years of clinical experience working with adults, youth, and families that have been impacted by sexual abuse. I have a specialized background working with many complicated relational, sexual, and emotional struggles in both outpatient and residential treatment settings. I have focused my energy on working with clients to help them heal from past traumas. I also treat those who have inflicted trauma. I believe all individuals deserve the space and kindness to change and grow, as we humans are dynamic beings. |
