Approach
My clinical approach is based in attachment theory, meaning I work to build a strong, compassionate rapport with my clients and attune to the relationship in order to help my clients feel safe enough to grow in the uncomfortable. In session, I will walk alongside my clients as they heal past wounds, challenge fears, and redevelop healthy and safe boundaries with themselves and others. I also utilize cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, and schema therapies as a way for my clients to practice new skills to make effective, forward-moving changes.
Specialties
Teens
I have a particular passion and talent for working with teenagers and their families, as I have been a clinician and clinical supervisor with at-risk youth throughout the entirety of my career. It is always an honor to be beside my adolescent clients as they begin to challenge their view of self and explore new and healthier realities. I use a casual approach to build rapport with youth who both are seeking help and those who are still contemplating the need for counseling. My goal is to empower all youth to find their voice, manifest their goals, and offer guidance in navigating this complicated time.
